This is the final product. It didn’t came out as what’ve expected which was sad. But I know it didn’t turn out so well because of my poor skills on sewing. I am gonna try to fix this dress and I should really pratice on my sewing skill!
I also made a little tag and I decided to call my brand(it’s not a actual brand but oh well) UNLIMITED, which I just randomly came out with.

These are two designs that I have came up with for my final product.
As you can see I’ve used fabrics that I’ve printed on to and I made into a two tone dress.
I have been working on my printing project for a while and these are final products!
For this project the inspiration came from a very unlikely material. Previously I mentioned about my interest in psychology and well yes, for this project my inspiration came from our amazing brains. Everytime I read about texts that are related to brains, they are just amazed me. Images of brain cells and other nerves that connect to each other were the main source for my inspiration. The fabric that I have used is silk chiffon and I love love the bright colour and feel of the fabric! I used light lime colour, which I have been addicted to and it always reminds me of fresh green apple. As if I can smell them from my fabric.

When I was studying psychology in year 12, I found it very fascinating that brains work in certain patterns to different situations and other influences. Our brains are way too complex for us to understand fully. But this got me interested to have an experiment on people to see their reactions on different types, colours, materials and designs of clothing. It is a very broad subject to have the experiment on, therefore I am trying to break into smaller parts and have very specific idea on conducting the experiment.

I love how she uses different mediums and creates a messy look. Great composition and mix of colours just blend in together which create one of kind. The beauty of destruction and collage give depth to her works. Realistic figures that are manipulated and simplified images are just blend in with complex backgrounds. It is really amazing to see great inventions. You will probably wonder how they came out with such amazing items. As my latest addiction, http://www.suck.uk.com shows various of unique designer items and sell them through an internet. Every single items I have seen on this site, they just have blown my mind. I wish they ship to Australia. But no, they don’t. Which is pretty sad but every time I look at these crazy items, I get motivated to create something. (Usually last for a day..) As you can see where I do all my work. From writing a nonsense essay with boring topics to brand new clothes..this is where a boring creation to a fun creation happening. I had a lot more posters and photos on my wall and some how they have just suicided themselves on to a floor. What I love to get is a mannequin!!!!!!! That will just make my job so much easier. The hardest part to creating clothes are get an inspiration originally and make that into wearable, unique and chic at the same time. Photography is my own way to get away from crazy reality and get my inspirations. But it seems to be I don’t have time these days to take some time to drive somewhere unknown and take photos. Well, if I don’t have time I will just make time! hah!!
I have done an alternation for this particular piece. The top part is the original part of the work that I have done in college. I’ve changed the bottom part because it seems to look way too flat and had an unfinished look. The twisted parts are hand dyed with various colours and I’ve used chiffon and plaited and sewed into a base.
I just love re-using clothes or objects and alternate to give new lives. It can give some kind of vintage plus old touch feeling with fresh look.
After sewing for an hour and thirty minutes..this not so finished looking clothes came alive. Well, it is still a test…I am still getting some ideas how to make it more fitted and constructed. The length turned shorter than I was originally planned..
These two fabrics will be used for the final piece. I found this pretty thick snake skin like animal print fabric and I have just got to USE this!! But mainly I am going to use indigo coloured satin. It will have very different feelings with these fabrics, compares to my not so good looking sample piece. Still a long way to go!!! An illustration of the final piece will give more ideas how it will HOPEFULLY looks like.
